This is a fantastic Book, dont read much my self but being part of the build my self and seeing it grow had been quite amazing! This is no show pony kids, this is the real deal!

I bought this book after seeing Sean in serval Facebook groups and after watching his YouTube channel. I wanted to learn more about his unique Baja and the adventure that brought him and the Yeti to where it is now. It's an amazing book that's filled with helpful suggestions and amazing insight. Seriously, 25 dollars is a great price given the content of the material
My oldest son Sean has asked me to review his book. I did not know that he was any good at writing but this book has changed my mind! It gives his point of view of his trials and successes with his Subaru vehicles. It is an interesting read for sure! He gets an idea and works like crazy to get it to a successful outcome. Has more "out of the box" projects in the works I'm sure. Also don't ever tell Sean that he "can't to that because it's never been done that way before". That statement will fuel his project until it is completed and fully functional. Pick up a copy of this book and you will get a small insight into how an idea takes shape through trial and error and lots and lots of hard work.
I wish more Subaru enthusiasts would write motivated and passionate builds like Sean in his book, “YETI THE BAJASTi”. Sean goes in depth and slowly describe transformation involved with the Baja and was not afraid to explain the mistakes he had to go through to pursue his dream. His never give up attitude and pursuance to complete such a transformation from a stock vehicle shows that anything is possible. Writing a journal and taking photos during any project will help any write a book.
There will always be some constructive criticism take on any project, but for Sean he took them as advice and ways on improving the build. And this is what I admire, the Petter Solberg's 'Never Give up' Attitude to achieve something you've wanted to achieve. And that's why this book is an inspiration to read.
By far one of the best books capturing from start to finish one man’s dream to achieve.
First off, let me begin by saying that I have a difficult time sitting and reading for longer than 15 minutes. My attention span doesn't allow for it but Sean wrote this book at a grade level and sequence that made reading cover to cover in around an hour. He adds tips and advice for any Subaru enthusiast and makes me wish I still had my WRX to add on some of his suggestions. Any Subaru novice could save time and money by learning what he learned the hard way.
One suggestion for future books
- I would like to have been able to read more about how he managed to overcome the terrifying situations he talks about.
The photos help even me understand some of the mechanical glitches and fixes.
Of course, if you haven't put two and two together yet, I was included in his book so I want to be transparent about that.
I am so genuinely glad that I got to observe and stand by his BajaSTI project. He is a true genius that continues using basic tools (which is becoming a lost art with all the automation/technology available). If you ever listen or watch him work, you know that he is the Zen master of all that is mechanical.
I've already shared my copy with a few people and the format is better than rambling on in a discussion while fumbling through social media searches on my phone. Being able to share the idea that you can do such things if you take the time to learn and dedicate yourself is really where creed of the book is at. Generally after describing the vehicle, the book, or the author the first thing people ask is how he got it published. This also propagates the DIY attitude and continues the interaction of giving information to the person. You can modify your vehicle in such ways, and you can also get a book out there if you want to share something that you appreciate with people. Case in point?
The book itself isn't so big that you can't easily take it with you, and the texture to the covers is a rather nice matte finish. Colorful pictures of mechanical things and nice regional photos.
doesn't allow for half stars, otherwise i'd put it at 4.5 stars being that the book could have used some editing for the text. The cool factor comes from it not being a conventionally chosen platform to modify by common standards. Being partial to modified Subarus it was an easy decision to collect a copy of this book.
I finally had time to read this book and I love it. Sean should really do a full series on this car!
